Blueprint for Education is excited to be a technical assistance partner on the U.S. Department of Education Teacher Quality Programs Technical Assistance (TQP TA) Center. The TQP TA Center supports the teacher quality programs in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation & Improvement, such as the Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program (TSL), Teacher Incentive Fund Program (TIF), Supporting Effective Educator Development Grant Program (SEED), and the Teacher Quality Partnership Program.
The TQP TA Center is a national center comprised of a team of experts that supports current Teacher Quality Program grantees with technical assistance on a range of issues related to educator quality such as:
Pipeline programs, including teacher and principal residencies
Induction and mentoring programs
Instructional coaching and job-embedded professional development
Diversifying the teacher and principal workforce
Increasing equitable access to high quality educators
Recruitment and hiring strategies
Human capital management systems
Educational partnerships, including district-institute of higher education partnerships
Alternative compensation systems
Career ladders and educator leadership roles, responsibilities
The TQP TA Center supports grantees doing ground-breaking work in the areas of educator quality to improve student performance in high-needs school districts around the country. This robust network of grantees share resources, publishes materials and content to further the field, meet frequently to improve and extend their programs.
